Advice? [29 Jun 2005|09:15pm]

I wrote a ficlet sometime back, it's a Buffy POV piece which you can find Here or in my memes, but the memes seem to not be working right now *rolls eyes*. Btw, I'd really like some more feedback and constructive criticism being that it's my first fic, that would be really appreciated.

Anyway, I wrote so that it can be WIP, but it can also just be a ficlet. Because WIP's are evil. Was trying to cover my ass.

So, I have a few questions from you experienced fic writers out there:

- The ficlet is Buffy POV as stated before, and I really want to write a companion ficlet from Angel POV. But I'm nervous about writing him, I'm not sure if I can. Is there any tips or suggestions or anything that may help me find his voice?

- Is it "okay" to shift POV? Meaning starting out as 1st person Buffy/Angel, then move to a 3rd person POV?(for example Lucky Day). Or 2nd person POV? Or will shifting the focus detract from the story.

ETA: Just to clarify, I think people are misunderstanding me. I don't mean shifting focus WITHIN one chapter or section, unless you shift 1st person narratives. Which is done effectively time and time again. What I'm asking is it ok to say have a Buffy POV ficlet - standalone, but also a companion to another Angel POV. Their thoughts of similar events etc, and then go onto yet another "companion" fic, about the events proceeding those in a different tense 3rd person for example.

I suppose I didn't really want to give away what I'm thinking of doing, but oh well, it's all in the need of help. LOL.

Delly,

Made something, but I'm not sure I'm happy with it. I'll probably end up making another.
